Collaborative Media Group Update

The Collaborative Media Group met this Thursday March 29 to regather and move ahead with our planned workshop. We discussed a workshop focusing on blogs, wikis, and social media; however, Fred has since suggested that the workshop be a demonstration on setting up a VLOG which will include digitizing a video clip and uploading on to a blog such as eblogger.
The workshop will mention in passing the social media as a whole but will be more precise in terms of allowing us to experience a tangible method of new media interactivity.
We are working on a flyer for the workshop and a tentative date has been set which we will confirm soon.
In addition to the workshop, we are in the process of finalizing our community media definition to be entered into Wikipedia. A rough draft is in the works as I write and a final draft should be up soon. We will keep you posted.
